BJ LINC Spanish 2 Course Description

Spanish 2 builds on the basics of Spanish 1 as it guides students to an intermediate level of conversation. Students learn basic communication for shopping, banking, travel, and other facets of daily life. Key grammar points include the imperfect and preterit tenses. Reading comprehension exercises include Scripture passages and excerpts from readings in textbook.

Course Level: Grades 10–12

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Spanish 1

Meet the BJ LINC Spanish 2 Teacher

Mrs. Rebecca Saldivar, B.S., M.S., had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home. The Lord saved her when she was seven years old. She began her study of Spanish in eighth grade and has loved learning about the language and the people. Due to her interest in Spanish, she graduated with a B.S. in Spanish Education and then completed her M.S. in Counseling. She has been able to travel to Spain and Mexico several times, one of which was on a summer mission team. She and her husband will be leading a mission team this summer to Mexico. Her favorite verses are Proverbs 3:5-6. She is thankful for the love of the language that God has given to her and wants to share it with her students.
